Who we are

What Erindra stores — and where

• Your medication list, reminders and confirmations are stored solely on your device. We have no access to them, and they are never sent to us.
• Photos: When you scan a box or a medication list, the image is processed in your phone's memory only. The image is never stored and never sent to any server.
• No account, no login, no analytics. We don't know who you are.

About AI reading

To interpret the text on the label, the app sends only the extracted text (not the image) to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (Anthropic) and returns the suggestion. Before sending, the app automatically removes personal ID numbers. The text is used only to give you the result: we do not store it, and it is not used to train AI models. Our server records only an anonymous device ID, timestamp and usage count — used to track your free scans and to prevent abuse (see fair use below) — never the content.

Data processors: Supabase (server operation) and Anthropic (AI interpretation). Transfer to Anthropic (USA) takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

Fair use of scanning

Your first 10 AI scans are free. With Erindra Pro you get free scanning for normal use. To protect the service against abuse, a generous fair-use limit applies of up to about 40 scans per day and 250 per month; as you approach the daily limit you get a friendly notice. For fair-use purposes, our server counts only the number of scans tied to an anonymous device ID — never what you scan.

Notifications and alarms

All reminders and alarms are scheduled and delivered locally on your device — always. No server is involved in reminding you about your medication. The only exception is the optional Lock Screen feature below, which you must enable yourself.

Precise Lock Screen updates (optional, off by default)

Erindra can show a small card on your Lock Screen that you check off directly. If you enable "Precise Lock Screen updates" in Settings, the card can appear and change at the exact dose time — even when the app hasn't been running. To do this, the app shares your upcoming reminder times with our server (Supabase), which sends an update through Apple's push service. Only times, the name of the time slot (such as "Morning") and the number of doses are shared — never medication names, strengths or notes. The data is tied only to an anonymous device ID, kept for at most 72 hours and deleted continuously. If you turn the feature off again, sharing stops and the stored times expire on their own. All reminders work fully without this feature.

Purchases

Purchases of Erindra Pro are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details.

Your rights

Because your data exists only on your device, you delete it by deleting a medication in the app or deleting the app. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure and to complain to your local data protection authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk). Write to us if you have questions — real people answer.

Changes

If we update this policy, we change the date at the top, and any significant changes are noted in the app's release notes.
